Ellie Sampson
An impressive competitor with the determination to be the best marketer in the world, Ellie Sampson is entering her senior year at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte – UNCC – after successfully completing her June-August 2018 special project leadership work here at NPAFE.
Ellie was tapped to help increase our reach to high-end sponsor brands supporting NPAFE-member artists. From North Carolina, Ellie now supports NPAFE as a terrific volunteer giving advice and counsel on how best to support all of our stakeholders, in the United States and internationally.
Ellie certainly has the passion to do it … and the know-how to do it well. She is up front about breaking past the limits of her college experience: “Theoretical concepts may be important in all these courses I’m taking about marketing. But what counts is the practical experience where I get to implement all this knowledge in the real world, and maybe find out what I can ‘unlearn’ or just plain ignore.”
Whatever a slouch is, Ellie is the opposite. At 16, she was in Bend, Oregon for a three-week Outward Bound challenge, holding her own and then some as rotating team leader and boat captain, equaling and outlasting people much older if perhaps not any wiser than her … probably not even as wise.
In fact, Ellie has been working to bring in her own income since a very young age; while at UNCC, she’s has been making Lululemon look good as store associate and customer educator. That’s not all: as Development Intern for Sonoma Commercial Properties, she worked directly with the company president as her Personal Assistant, leading many research projects and creating content for marketing packages for investment properties.
Actually, we wonder whether Ellie ever sleeps: she also tutors children with learning disabilities, trains puppies to become service dogs, and shows up for just about all of her UNCC classes.
Best of all for NPAFE, Ellie brilliantly knows how to make nouns and verbs work in well-crafted sentences and paragraphs. We’re pleased as punch that she’s still bringing to NPAFE those talents and all the rest she lives, breaths, and knows. (back to Team page)
