Nicki Schwenner
National Performing Arts Funding ExchangeNicki Schwenner is NPAFE’s Director for Global Artist Support and Programming. And aren’t we the better off for it!
If there ever has been a tireless person who leaves the rest of us in the dust when it comes to creating new solutions to advance the performing arts, Nicki Schwenner is the one.
Nicki is a professional who never stops smiling no matter what the task, an athlete who thinks nothing about rollerblading across New York’s five boroughs, and someone to whom world renowned artists like Joshua Bell, Paul Taylor, Rosanne Cash and David Sedaris have turned to make sure their performances go off without a hitch. She is among the country’s best in managing performances and performers: contracting, scheduling, even assembling all the pieces of each performance puzzle so that audiences come away thrilled.
That’s not all: Nicki has been the mainstay Artist Services and Contract Manager at The Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase. She volunteers at the United Nations, the Japan Society, and the International Society for the Performing Arts, where she has been asked time and again to organize fora, educational programs, and stakeholder outreach. She remains in great demand there and elsewhere, no doubt for her expertise but certainly for her generosity and gift of time she offers to help others achieve professional success.
Based in New York City, Nicki is a major contributor to NPAFE’s growth, and especially to the success of artists associated with NPAFE. If you’re in the City, look for her rollerblading down Riverside Drive or along the Belt Parkway by Sheepshead Bay!
Don’t Fuhgeddaboudit, eeduh!
