From Paris to Switzerland to Sweden. With High Ambition.
In Elisa Lons’ Own Words
My deepest dreams are:
-To inspire choreographers to create for me. To have great roles of classical and contemporary repertoire to dance.
To express myself first of all as a dance interpreter, then as a choreographer and finally to transmit this art through teaching.
-Be invited to create galas and perform all over the world – to transmit emotions to a wide audience.
-To have a long and successful career dedicated to dance.
Elisa Lons.
In Our Words
When we first came across Elisa Lons’ “Masquerade” video, we were transfixed. Then we found her “Elegy” video, which left us mesmerized. Both are here, further down the page.
Who IS Elisa Lons? A young yet clearly accomplished French dancer of classical and contemporary ballet, selected at age 22 to perform with the Royal Swedish Ballet, one of Europe’s most acclaimed companies.
Neither we nor audiences in France and Sweden are the only people captivated by Elisa. Not only has she been performing in many other EU countries, but France’s TV channel M6 followed her career and featured Elisa in a December 2018 national TV broadcast centered on her achievements and her career goals.
Back to “Masquerade” and “Elegy”. There you will discover someone much more than a “ballerina du corps de ballet”. Before our eyes – and before yours – lies striking confidence of mind and body in original contemporary ballet pieces singularly of Elisa Lons’ very own creative style.
At age 17, Elisa was one of only 75 dancers from around the world selected by the renowned Prix de Lausanne to present at its 41st annual competition in Lausanne, Switzerland in February 2013.
While there, Elisa was then chosen to be chronicled over the 5-day event in a stunning video blog series created by Prix de Lausanne to document each stage of the competition. More enchantment, because we all get to see her true self in those five video blogs, not only her dancing but her commentaries and her sharing of her own emotions and expectations “live” as she actually strives for perfection.
Yet more evidence of Elisa’s depth and breadth of ballet excellence lies in a special August, 2018 video of the Black Swan Pas de Deux from Swan Lake that she performed with Victor Coffy in a castle setting. Let yourself be carried away: you’ll find it below.
What clinches it for us, though, and what should clinch it for you, is “Vertige”. This video of her own choreography, which she created when only 16 years old, takes our breath away.
“Vertige” is more evidence that few in any profession will come close in their lifetime to matching what Elisa has already achieved with her vibrant mind and her true grit. We have every confidence that there is so much more to come, all entrancing.
All Elisa Lons!
